The RI District 2750 started in 1980 as District 275, when District 258 was split.
The first Governor was Mr. Reijiro Hattori (RC of the Tokyo Ginza).
The District consisted of half of Tokyo and the Pacific Basin, such as Guam, Saipan and Micronesia.

In 1991, the District became 2750 which is a part of Zone 2 in Asia.
 As of the end of June, 2017:

RI District 2750 is known not only as a large District but also has many characteristics.

  • 4 Countries in the District


    Tokyo (Center of Japan), Guam & Saipan (USA), Republic of Palau and the Federated States of Micronesia.As all members from 4 Countries join together, the District Conference is very international.
    Every 10 years, the District Conference is held in Guam.

  • Clubs are unique and active


    RC of Tokyo South was sponsored by Japan's first club, RC of Tokyo.
    RC of Tokyo West is a sister club of Rotary's first club, RC of Chicago.
    RC of Guam was sponsored by RC of Manila.
    RC of Tokyo Ginza, RC of Tokyo Nihombashi, RC of Tokyo Haneda, and RC of Tokyo Hachioji also have a long history.
    RC of Tokyo Chuo has more than 300 members and is still expanding.
    RC of Tokyo Hiroo is a bi-lingual club.
    RC of Tokyo Yoneyama friendship was created from past-Yoneyama scholarship students.
    Etc.

  • Many female members


    Among the Domestic clubs, the District has as many as 507 female members as of the end of June, 2017, which is 10 % of the total.
    They are very active.
    Ex. Close to half of the 115 members of RC of Tokyo Ebisu are active females.
  • The RI District 2750 continues to aim to be international, beyond the difference of culture and language,and to serve more to benefit to the communities.
